A nice arm balance today for you all…a great asana to strengthen and tone your arms, abs and if you do the full version (see my blog) your ass! 🍑
Strengthens the arms, shoulders, obliques, abs and legs
Stretches and strengthens the wrists
Aligns the pelvis and spine
Place your palm just off centre from your shoulder the Straighten the arm to lift the entire body. * press the base of the index finger firmly against the floor- this is a good pressure point for a Sen line. Really focus on curling the tailbone under (I know I say this a lot but it’s so crucial) which tightens the core and lengthens the hip flexors.
Strengthen the thighs, and press through the heels toward the floor. Align your entire body into one long diagonal line from the heels to the crown of your head.
Finally stretch the top arm toward the ceiling, parallel to the line of the shoulders. Keep the head in a neutral position, or turn it to gaze up at the top hand. #yogalife #yoga #hotyoga
